Book review: Never Show a t-rex a book by Rashmi Sirdeshpande and illustrated by Diane Ewen

The power of books is brought to life with this funny, brilliantly illustrated read. Could you imagine, a dinosaur being able to read? Well look no further as Rashmi Sirdeshpande and Diane Ewen introduce us to just that. You may recall Rashmi’s fantastic nonfiction read
How To Be Extraordinary illustrated by Annabel Tempest. Diane Ewen’s work I absolutely love and I’m so pleased to see her artwork within this entertaining read.

Never show a t-rex a book

This fictional read, Never Show A T-Rex a book, published by Puffin, is a super read aloud. Not only does the young lead girl teach her once dinosaur toy to read, she finds that her real life dino friend just can’t seem to get enough of books.

Never show a t-rex a book

Books certainly do open up a whole new world for this star spectacle wearing dinosaur, who even manages to get appointed as a rather influential figure.
Vibrant illustrations by Diane Ewen, which are full of surprises and will make you smile throughout, complete this book wonderfully.
A great book for early years readers and up sharing the joy that reading can bring and positively highlighting just how reading can do wonders for our imagination.
