William Bee is a transport loving character who enjoys sharing many facts with his readers. This book shares a variety of information on tractors, combine harvesters, steam engines and more. It clearly explains the importance of farmers and the need for machines to assist farmers in their day to day work. The text also cleverly weaves in information about how tractors were different in the past to now and how animals such as horses and cows were expected to pull ploughs across fields.
Throughout the book the text feels as if William is having a conversation with you, as if he’s giving you a personal tour of his farm machines and there is sure to be new things spotted each read, at least we have found that to be the case.
Towards the end of the book there is additional information, complete with clearly labelled illustrations and fun advertisements.
The graphic art work is so bold and engaging, almost transporting me back in time.
This is great book with lots to learn and a fab pick for transport and farm topics within a learning setting.
