Book review: ABC of kindness by Patricia Hegarty and Summer Macon

ABc of kindness book review on

I’ve got a bit of a weakness for alternative alphabet books and this one just makes you smile. I’ve previously shared many ABC books but this book is a new addition.

Amongst the pastel coloured pages and adorable animal characters you have little notes sharing all the ways we can be kind to one another. Letters of the alphabet are used as prompts with examples also given to encourage positive thinking, Y is for yes I can- there’s nothing you can’t do.

An uppercase and lowercase letter is shown on each page and the lines within each letter may encourage readers to trace the letter with their finger.

We’ve been enjoying this book lots during snuggly reading time. It might also be an ideal book to use when your littles may need a gentle reminder of what kindness looks likes, especially as we are all spending lots of time together.
