This book couldn’t be a truer representation of a lot of the addition work concepts my nearly 6 year old has been using in the past few weeks. It’s such a fab book incorporating addition using concepts amongst an adorable story.

Lots of chicks go out to play in the park but there is a little mouse who watches from afar. The chicks are having so much fun but it isn’t until quite late into their play that mouse feels comfortable in joining in. In fact mouse joins in at the perfect time and together they succeed in playing ball.

This book is no way dull or boring, as sometimes maths is perceived and shares great ways of adding numbers together including the use of number bonds, counting on, a ten frame and more.

What a fab book this would be in learning settings.
