Book review: Turn and Learn Weather and Turn and Learn Our World by Isabel Otter and illustrated by Hannah Tolson.

I first came across this scrumptious non-fiction series online and they do not disappoint. Both books are a fab pair of non-fiction reads that are informative, fun and include magic sliders. Written by Isabel Otter, whose work has featured many times here on the blog and illustrated by Hannah Tolson.

Our World is the latest book published in the series and explores five habitats including the rainforest and the sea. Each double page is dedicated to a habitat, sharing information about plants, animals and also discusses traditions of the people that live within some of these habitats.

Weather goes into detail about five weather systems including wind and thunder and lightening. As well as exploring the different weather systems in detail, ideal for 5 year olds and up, it answers questions such as how does the wind blow and what is the sun made of?

The illustrations throughout each of the books are colourful and engaging and the layout of the double page cleverly separates each fact.

Each book would be a great addition to a library highlighting that non-fiction books can be informative and memorable reads also.
