I was really excited to receive some post from the team behind Troo Granola. They are currently a family run business and want to encourage healthier eating habits. Troo granola was also a Great Tasting Award winner in 2016.
We all really enjoy breakfast in our house and granola is something we buy frequently but I had never attempted making my own.
We received the Original Granola Kit from Troo, however there are other varieties to choose from. The packaging was bright and inviting and clearly states the following fab information:
Gluten Free; Wheat Free; Dairy Free; Egg Free; Sesame Free;
No Refined Sugar.
High in Fibre.
100% natural ingredients.
Vegan and Vegetarian friendly.
The granola is really easy to make. Everything you need is in the kit however, if you don’t want to bake it raw, you choose what sweetener to use and what oil. I chose to use olive oil and raw organic honey. The kit (as seen in the picture below) even comes with its own measuring pot! You mix the sweetener and oil together, pop it into the bag with everything except the fruit and stir. You then cook this in the oven for around 10-15 minutes, tossing the granola in between.
The smell that filled the house whilst I was cooking this was amazing! The granola we tried was filled with gluten free large oats, almonds, pumpkin, sunflower and flax seeds.
Whilst the granola is cooling you add your fruit, in this case yummy raisins, which by the way were huge and then you are done!
The 400g pack we received makes 500g of granola. It is enough for about 10-14 portions so once you’ve completed the cooking and its all cooled, store in an air tight container. The granola keeps for up to 2 weeks.
The granola truly was really tasty. It had a warm, spicy taste, not in an overpowering way and the raisins were juicy, adding a different texture. There was enough of each ingredient and if you are a little ‘nutty’ like my hubby, you can always add more nuts before serving. As well as eating the granola with milk we also tried it in other ways.
The Troo Granola Kits take the hassle out of buying lots of ingredients if you do want to make your own granola. You can put your own stamp on it, choosing the oil and sweetener you want and it tastes really good.

I received this product in an exchange for a review however, all opinions are my own.
